Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve

The Adams Homestead is 1,500 acres donated by Mary and Maud Adams in 1984. It contains over 10 miles of trails that wind along the river, prairie and forest. It is a great location to do bird watching as there is over 100 species counted to date. The homestead itself features many restored buildings including the original home, barn, country school and church.

Park Schedule & Rates

  • Open year-round. Call ahead for visitor center hours.
  • Park entrance license NOT required.
  • No camping.
