Art Alley

Rapid City's Art Alley is a unique outdoor art space, open to anyone with an artistic bent.

Literally an alley, Art Alley is an open air art gallery in downtown Rapid City.  Part of the alley features murals painted directly on the buildings, while other areas feature paper drawings and canvas paintings artists have submitted to be hung in the alley.

Art Alley was founded by Todd Rigione, who first painted over graffiti in the alley and started a trend.  In addition to impromptu painting sessions, events like Rapid City's free downtown Thursday nights highlight Art Alley as a destination and center for artistic events in Rapid City.

Art Alley is located in downtown Rapid City, between St. Joseph and Main Street, and Sixth and Seventh Street.
