Audri Vargas – Another South Dakotan on ‘Idol’

Another South Dakotan has advanced past the first round of "American Idol," though her performance wasn’t aired on Wednesday night’s show.

Audri Vargas, of Sioux Falls, was among the singers at the Dallas tryouts who received a "golden ticket" to the next round.

Oddly enough, the "Idol" people have posted an interview with Vargas on their Web site even though they haven’t seen fit to show us any of her performance. You can watch that video below, and you can click here to see a story with more information about Vargas from her hometown newspaper, the Argus Leader.

If you are having problems viewing the video below you can also see it on the American Idol site.
