Christmas at the Capital - Pierre

At Christmas in the Capital, elaborately decorated Christmas trees are the main attraction.  Trees are adopted by group, corporate, civic or otherwise, and are decorated by the members of that group.  From simple to complex, the trees reflect the spirit of the group, and their take on what a Christmas tree should be.  In addition to the decorated trees, live music and other special events are schedule during the Christmas at the Capital celebration. 

Downtown Holidays - Sioux Falls

Downtown Holidays in Sioux Falls include free wagon rides, and frequent visits by Santa himself!  This annual tradition begins with a Parade of Lights in November, includes a Festival of Trees, and ends with an annual First Night, an alcohol-free family celebration on New Year's Eve.  In addition to scheduled events, local businesses and organizations in Sioux Falls also schedule special events, so you'll be sure to find something festive going on downtown!

Festival of Lights Parade - Rapid City

Rapid City embraces winter and celebrates with the annual Festival of Lights Parade in downtown Rapid City.  Floats, music, and other entries draped in lights brighten the winter night as they proceed through Rapid City's streets.  Horse-drawn carriages and winter scenes complete the scene and celebrate the spirit of the season.
