Lifelight is one of the largest outdoor Christian music festivals anywhere, and is held annually in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With an attendance of nearly 320,000 people in 2008, Lifelight takes place over 3 days, and features 6 different performance stages. The festival attracts high profile bands within the Christian music scene, including past performers Third Day, Newsboys, and MIchael W. Smith.
In addition to their musical line-up, Lifelight also features food and beverage vendors, 3K, 5K and 10K runs, and on-site camping. Admission to the festival is free, although there is a fee for camping.
The annual festival is held in early September, but Lifelight also has smaller traveling concerts throughout the rest of the year. If you want to get up close and personal with the Lifelight bands and crew, the festival recruits volunteers for each of the 4 days of the festival.
